6-wheel drive - All Terrain
Our 6-wheel drive, All Terrain 
specialises in excavations that are on rough ground, which our other machines may not be able to access.
The All-Terrain is a 6-wheel drive and has a mega arm. This vacuum excavator is 4m high, 2.5m wide and weighs 26 tons when fully loaded. The All-Terrain tips to the right, has a twin fan configuration and has a skip capacity of 8m³. It also has the vertical depth extension capability of 70m-80m.

Amphitec
From the vacuuming of soil and sludges on industrial areas, to the blowing of roofing gravel on construction sites, this machine can take on any job. When using the Excavation Boom you are able to safely remove soil around cables and pipelines without causing damages. It is the total solution for any contractor!

Brokk 120D
It is ideal for places that do not have reliable power supply and areas that our bigger machines can’t reach. The Brokk 120D is small enough to enter a regular doorway and can easily be operated in confined spaces.
The Brokk 120D is fully wireless and can operate for at least 8 hours without needing a fuel refill.

City Safe Urban System
The City Safe incorporates features that improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and the driver themselves. These include the Direct Vision cab with panoramic glazing, low entry and exiting, and image and sensor-based safety assistance.
The City Safe is operated by having a left power arm that measures 6.9m. The vehicle in total is 4m high, 2.8m wide and weighs 26 tonnes when loaded. This vacuum excavator tips to the right, has a twin fan configuration and has the capability of adding extension pipework on, at up to 70m. In terms of skip capacity this reaches up to 6m³. The City Safe’s vertical depth extension capabilities are 10m but doesn’t have a Hydrostatic Drive.

City Sucker
Our 18T City Sucker is brilliant for getting into those smaller areas, and for excavating in the hard-to-reach areas!
The City Sucker is operated by having a right power arm that measures 6m in length. The vehicle in total is 3.4m high, 2.5m wide and weighs 18 tons when loaded. This vacuum excavator tips to the rear, has a twin fan configuration and has the capability of adding extension pipework on between 30m-70m. In terms of skip capacity this reaches up to 3.5m³. The City Sucker’s vertical depth extension capabilities are 10m and has Hydrostatic Drive!

Height and slew restrictors
When working alongside live traffic, or under overhead cables, it is best practice to ensure the vacuum excavator’s hydraulic arm is restricted to ensure health and safety on site. LMD is able to provide vacuum excavators equipped with height and slew restrictors.

High tip
High-tip vehicles are able to discharge excavated material straight into, for example, an eight-wheel tipper truck. Used in this way, high tip enables the vacuum excavator to optimise productivity on site.
The High Tip has both a left & right arm position, which measures 7.6m and is a Mega Power Arm. This vacuum excavator is 3.8m high, 2.8m wide and weighs 32 tonnes when fully loaded. The High Tip, tips to both the left and the right, has a Triple Fan configuration and has a capability of adding up to 150m+ of extension pipework. The skip capacity is 12m³ and has a vertical depth extension capability of 30m. This vacuum excavator also has a Hydrostatic Drive.

Hydrostatic power systems
Hydrostatic power systems enable the operator to slowly move the vacuum excavator forwards and backwards without being in the cab. This ensures continuous excavation can be maintained. Hydrostatic power systems are often specified on, for example, highways projects where excavations can extend for several miles.

Ivac Tracked Unit
The Ivac Tracked Unit has a rear arm position that measures 3.5m and is a Non-Power Arm. This vacuum excavator is 2.3m long, 1.9m wide and weighs 2.5 tonnes when fully loaded. The Ivac Tracked Unit tips to the rear, has a single fan configuration and its skip capacity is 1/2m³. The Ivac Tracked Unit has a vertical depth extension capability of 1m.

Left tip
Left Tip is often specified for highway works where excavated materials are tipped onto the hard shoulder or kerbside. This minimises the excavation footprint and reduces traffic disruption and increasing production.
The Left Tip has a right arm position that measures 7.6m which is a Mega Power Arm. This vacuum excavator is 3.8m high, 2.8m wide and weighs 32 tonnes when fully loaded. The Left Tip, tips to the left, has a Triple Fan configuration and has the capability to add up to 150m of extension pipework. The skip capacity for this vacuum excavator is 8m³ and the vertical depth extension capability is 10m. The Left Tip also has a Hydrostatic Drive on some models.

Parent and child
LMD has pioneered the use of a ‘parent’ triple fan vacuum excavator working in tandem with a ‘child’ tracked unit. This combination extends the maximum reach, i.e. the distance from the excavation to the vacuum system, to 200m!

Power arm
All LMD vacuum excavators have hydraulically-assisted hose arms. Standard power arms, often referred to as ‘floppies’, are limited to ‘in-out’ and ‘left-right’ movement. The operator manually ‘controls’ or ‘locates’ the end of the hose in the excavation.
A power arm can be controlled remotely in every plane by the operator, right down to the end of the hose.

Right tip
Right Tip is the default manoeuvre on standard vacuum systems. It enables the operator to discharge the excavated load into a skip or similar located to the right of the vacuum excavator.
The Right Tip has a left arm position, measuring at 7.6m which is a Mega Power Arm. This vacuum excavator is 3.8m high, 2.8m wide and weighs 32 tonnes when loaded. The Right Tip, tips to the right, has a Triple Fan and has the capabilities of adding up to 150m worth of extension pipework. The skip capacity for the Right Tip is 8m³ and the vertical depth extension capabilities go up to 10m. The Right Tip also has a Hydrostatic Drive on some models.

Road Sweepers
We also have road sweepers within our fleet here at LMD, which we can offer to our customers!
Our road sweepers are V651 models which are made out of heavy duty, stainless steel. They contain 4 cylinders and have a cubic capacity of 4.4 Litres. They can also get up to a speed of between 2400rpm – 3500rpm to suit the operation and have a quick release brush system with a nominal 160rpm rotation speed.

Stainless steel storage tanks
Vacuum excavators are ideally suited for work on contaminated land. Due to the toxic nature of excavated material on some contaminated sites, LMD has excavators equipped with stainless steel storage tanks.

Tracked Unit
The Tracked unit has both left and right capability for an arm position. This measures 7.6m and is a Mega Power Arm. The height of this vacuum excavator is 2.5m and it is 2.8m wide, with a weight of 21 tonnes when fully loaded. The Tracked Unit tips to the rear, has a Twin Fan configuration and has the capability of 70m to add extension pipework. It’s skip capacity is 4m³ and the vertical depth extension capability is 10m. The Tracked Unit also has a Hydrostatic Drive.

Triple fan
Triple fan machines are one of the most powerful in the LMD fleet. They are located in our High Tip Vacuum Excavators and our Parent & Child combination!

Wet excavation
The Vac-Tron wet excavation system is used for ground investigations and coring. It is also ideal for work in petrol forecourts and chemical plants.
The Vac-Tron has a central arm position, and the hose length is 10m. This vacuum excavator is 2.8m high, 2.4m wide and weighs 7.5 tonnes when fully loaded. The Vac-Tron tips to the rear, has a single fan configuration and has a skip capacity of 0.5m³. It also has the vertical depth extension capability of 5m.
