Exposing HV cable for connection to a substation
LMD Vacuum Excavation is frequently asked by housing developers or their groundworks contractors to expose live utility infrastructure.
In the example shown here, LMD used vacuum excavation techniques to safely expose a live HV electricity cable to enable a connection to a new substation to be made. The substation will supply power to properties being constructed on the adjacent housing development in Devon.
LMD was recommended to the groundworks contractor by the developer which had used LMD on several previous developments.
LMD has one of the largest fleets of vacuum excavators and is active on projects across the country.
