LMD’s new excavator undergoing final checks in Germany
LMD Vacuum Excavation already has one of the UK’s largest fleets of vacuum excavators and it will soon be adding yet another to its ranks.
The next addition to the LMD fleet is currently undergoing final checks at MTS’ headquarters in Germersheim, Germany. The excavator has an MTS Dino 12 specification with a 12 cubic metre skip and a Mega Boom arm. The excavator conforms with the FORS Gold specification and has numerous additional safety features including hi-vis steps to access all parts of the vehicle .
LMD has adopted a policy of standardising on Mercedes-Benz chassis across its fleet, and the new excavator is based on the Mercedes Benz AROCS 3251 chassis.
